The Banking Vietnam 2012 was held in Grand Plaza, Hanoi from 22th to 24th May, 2012. Banking Vietnam is the most prestigious annual banking conference and exposition in Vietnam. The conference was very successful with the participation and strong supports from The State Bank of Vietnam's top senior government leaders such as Mr. Nguyen Toan Thang - Deputy Governor, Mr. Bui Quang Tien - Director of Payment Department, Mr. Le Manh Hung - General Director of Information Technology Department, Mr. Pham Cong Uan - General Director of Credit Information Centre, Mr. Nguyen Van Dung - Deputy Director of Stake Bank of VietNam in HCMC and another leaders.
This year, featuring the theme 'Information Technology towards Effective Banking Governance & High Quality Services', the 15th Banking Vietnam has attracted 50 sponsors, 44 speakers, 45 booths, and more than 850 attendees at the Conference and 1,000 visitors at the Exposition. At this event, NTT Data and VietUnion have a speaking slot whose topic is “What can be done to expand e-payment market in Vietnam”. Mr. Masatoshi Umemoto, Senior Consultant of Cards and Payments Services Division, NTT Data Corporation, and Dr. Dinh Ba Tien Deputy General Director of VietUnion represented the firm by giving speech on 24th May.
