Professor for Sustainability Management at Graz University and Head of the Christian Doppler Laboratory for Sustainable Product Management in a Circular Economy
Rupert Baumgartner is professor of sustainability management at the Institute of Environmental Systems Sciences, University of Graz, Austria. Since November 2018 he has been the Director of the Christian-Doppler-Research Laboratory for Sustainable Product Management. He has also served as board member of the International Sustainable Development Research Society (ISDRS) and acted as subject editor for the Journal of Cleaner Production. His main research interests are corporate sustainability management, sustainability assessment, circular economy, and sustainable innovation. He was named as DuPont Young Professor 2016, and he was awarded with the Seraphine-Puchleitner prize 2017 by the University of Graz as the best PhD-supervisor.
