Happy Pride Month!

As we observe Pride Month this June, we celebrate and honor the valuable contributions of the LGBTQ+ community. At NTT DATA, we are committed to fostering an environment where every individual feels valued, respected, and free to be their authentic selves. Our commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) is not just a corporate strategy. It's a core value that shapes our culture and drives our success.

At NTT DATA, our DEI strategy is deeply rooted in the concept of Uniqueness. We believe that each person brings distinct perspectives, talents, and experiences that are invaluable to our collective growth. By honoring and embracing these unique qualities, we not only enhance our sense of belonging but also drive creativity and innovation within our teams.

For us, Diversity means more than just acknowledging differences. It means celebrating them. Fostering an Inclusive Environment for the LGBTQ+ Community

Our commitment to the LGBTQ+ community is an important part of our DEI efforts. We recognize the unique challenges that LGBTQ+ individuals may face in the workplace, and we are dedicated to creating an environment where these challenges are addressed with empathy and action.

Around EMEAL we have implemented several initiatives to support our LGBTQ+ employees, including:

  • Employee communities: The LGBTQ+ communities across our different regions provides a supportive space for employees to connect, share experiences, and advocate for inclusive policies and practices.
  • Inclusive Policies: We continually review and update our policies to ensure they reflect our commitment to equality. This includes comprehensive anti-discrimination policies and benefits that support all employees and their families.
  • Education and Awareness: We offer training programs to educate all employees on diversity and the importance of allyship. By fostering understanding and empathy, we create a more supportive and inclusive workplace.

Our Commitment to Continuous Improvement

Our journey towards true inclusion is ongoing. We are committed to continually assessing and improving our practices to ensure that everyone feels valued and included. This means listening to feedback, learning from our experiences, and being willing to make necessary changes.

In the last fiscal year, our overall Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) score rose by 6 percentual points, reflecting our ongoing efforts to promote diversity and equality within our organization. Notably, the perception of our workplace as inclusive increased by 11 percentual points, and the sense of having an environment where individuals can be their authentic selves also saw a significant rise. These improvements underscore our commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive atmosphere. However, there is still room to enhance management engagement on this topic.
