NTT DATA unveils the report on Tractus-X for automotive industry data spaces

Background

Data Spaces empower inter-organizational exchanges by offering secure and decentralized platforms for transferring data. Eclipse Tractus-X is the official open-source project for Catena-X¹ under the Eclipse Foundation umbrella. Eclipse Foundation is a global community for open-source software collaboration and innovation. Catena-X is an open data ecosystem for the automotive industry and promotes collaboration to solve important issues including supply chain, product carbon footprint, sustainability, digital twins and more.

Tractus-X helps accelerate the development and operations of services and systems by connecting the three primary elements that comprise Catena-X:

• The Catena-X Automotive Network e.V. ("The Association"), which is responsible for standardization, certifications, governance, and transfer and activation of the Catena-X ecosystem. The Association manages the Eclipse Tractus-X project, and association members are encouraged to participate.
• The development environment, which develops initial reference implementations of core and enabling services.
• The operating environment, which shares open-source reference implementations that can be freely used, modified and operated by providers.

The new report draws on the knowledge and experience of experts and resources from NTT DATA Group, NTT DATA Spain Ltd., NTT DATA Romania, NTT DATA Luxembourg, NTT DATA Italy, NTT DATA DACH and NTT DATA Business Solutions. This group will form the core of a new "NTT DATA Data Spaces Global One Team," which the company intends to formally announce in the near future.
