Director, Audit & Supervisory Committee Member
Eiichi Sakamoto

Role: Eiichi Sakamoto was appointed Director and Audit & Supervisory Committee Member on June 18th, 2024.

Responsibilities: Eiichi has held the dual roles of Director and Member of the Audit & Supervisory Committee since June 2024.
As Audit & Supervisory Committee Member, he carries out statutory audits and occasional topic-specific audits.
As Director, he is involved in management decision-making and offers counsel on business management and operations, particularly from a governance perspective.

Experience: Prior to joining NTT DATA, he served as Executive Vice President and Representative Director and Special Counselor at NTT WEST CORPORATION.

At NTT WEST CORPORATION, he oversaw corporate affairs and alliance promotion; his responsibilities included the overall management and business expansion of the company.

Prior to the roles above, he served as an officer in charge of corporate planning and general affairs at NTT CORPORATION, as well as an executive officer in the enterprise sales area at NTT DOCOMO, Inc. He was also involved in the establishment of NTT EAST CORPORATION and overall corporate planning at NTT EAST CORPORATION.

In addition, he was Visiting Fellow at the Brookings Institution, USA, where he was engaged in research on U.S. politics and economic policy from 2001 to 2004.

Additional information: He graduated from the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Letters, University of Tokyo in March 1986.
