Your day at NTT DATA
The Security Managed Services Engineer (L2) is responsible for providing a managed service to clients to ensure that their Security Infrastructures and systems remain operational. Through the proactive monitoring, identifying, investigating, and resolving of technical incidents and problems, this role is able to restore service to clients. Their primary objective is to proactively review client requests or tickets and apply technical/process knowledge to resolve them without breaching service level agreement (SLA). This role focuses on second-line support for incidents and requests with a medium level of complexity.This role may also contribute to / support on project work as and when required.
What you'll be doing
- Proficiency with management NAC
- Experience in working with Windows, Linux, Unix environments
- Hands-on experience in commissioning and Implementation of NAC solutions and integrating with various management and authentication authorization tools (email, AD, IAM, SIEM)
- Experience in automating processes using scripting, configuration (SOAR) tools Experience in managing policies and exceptions
- Experience in packet capture, analysis, and troubleshooting tools
- Product knowledge of NAC solution.
- Incident, problem, service request management, change management, configuration management &capacity management of NAC Setup
- Day to Day BAU MACDs, configuration changes
- Proactively utilize network monitoring tools to isolate events before service degradation occurs
- Supporting incident monitoring and incident analysis/response initiatives
- Coordinate with users to ensure timely and satisfactory resolution for any trouble tickets, troubleshooting layers 1, 2, and 3 of the OSI Model.
- Troubleshooting network, transport, session, presentation and applications layers Applying security patches as required.

The Data Center Technician provides a working level of data center knowledge and is responsible for the operational integrity and regulatory compliance of the data center electrical, mechanical, and fire life safety systems.The Data Center Technician maintains and follows the processes that maximize customer uptime in the most cost-effective way. What you'll be doing
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops creative approaches to keep operational costs to a minimum, improve efficiency, and implement new strategies. Systems of responsibility include:
Mechanical responsibilities will include chilled water systems and components, HVAC systems such as roof top units, CRAC/CRAH units, and humidification systems.
Electrical responsibilities will include electrical/critical power distribution from the Utility/Generator main switchgear through the UPS systems out to the customer load.
Fire Life Safety responsibilities will include wet sprinkler systems and pre-action sprinkler systems as well as their associated detection devices.
Tests performance of electromechanical assemblies and electronic voltmeters.
Reads blueprints, schematics, diagrams, or technical order to determine methods and sequences of processes.
Inspects parts for surface defects.
Installs electrical or electronic parts and hardware in housings or assemblies, using hand tools.
Aligns, fits or assembles component parts, using hand or power tools.
Operates, monitors, maintains, and responds to abnormal conditions in facilities systems. Areas include: Mechanical, Electrical, Fire Life Safety, and Building Monitoring and Control
Analyzes systems to ensure best practices for both internal and external customers.
Provides feedback to DCO Engineering on the effectiveness of existing standards and processes.
Works with contractors and consultants to review quality assurance for all system expansions, corrections, and upgrades.
Works with the CF Ops Lead Technician to track and complete an aggressive preventive and predictive maintenance program.
Ensures data center operates at maximum operational efficiency, including analyzing existing operating conditions, recommending new technologies and improving overall efficiency, and cost reduction.
Manages systems to avoid unplanned customer-impacting events.
Works with CF Ops Lead Technician to determine maintenance requirements for mechanical, electrical, and fire life safety systems.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Regular, predictable attendance is essential to satisfactory performance.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Possess an understanding of the mechanical, electrical, and fire life safety systems used in a data center environment including, but not limited to the following: electrical distribution and layout, Transformers, PLC’s, Generators, Switchgear, UPS systems, STS’, ATS’ PDU’s, Chilled Water Systems, CRAC/CRAH’s, Pre-Action Sprinkler Systems
Knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, NFPA 72, NFPA 25, and compliance issues as well as building codes in regard to fire life safety
Current knowledge in industrial safety best practices (i.e. lockout/tag out, arc flash protection, OSHA and state regulations)
Familiarity with data trending / tracking and analysis and the ability to utilize a PC based integrated critical monitoring systems.

Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively monitors the work queues.
- Performs operational tasks to resolve all incidents/requests in a timely manner and within the agreed SLA.
- Updates tickets with resolution tasks performed.
- Identifies, investigates, analyzes issues and errors prior to or when they occur, and log all such incidents in a timely manner.
- Captures all required and relevant information for immediate resolution.
- Provides second level support to all incidents, requests and identifies the root cause of incidents and problems.
- Communicates with other teams and clients for extending support.
- Executes changes with clear identification of risks and mitigation plans to be captured into the change record.
- Follows the shift handover process highlighting any key tickets to be focussed on along with a handover of upcoming critical tasks to be carried out in the next shift.
- Escalates all tickets to seek the right focus from CoE and other teams, if needed continue the escalations to management.
- Works with automation teams for effort optimization and automating routine tasks.
- Coaches Service Desk and L1 teams for technical and behavioural skills.

- Identifies problems and errors before they impact a client’s service.
- Leads and manages all initial client escalation for operational issues.
- Contributes to the change management process by logging all change requests with complete details for standard and non-standard including patching and any other changes to Configuration Items.
- Ensures all changes are carried out with proper change approvals.
- Plans and executes approved maintenance activities.
- Audits and analyses incident and request tickets for quality and recommends improvements with updates to knowledge articles.
- Produces trend analysis reports for identifying tasks for automation, leading to a reduction in tickets and optimization of effort.

- May work on implementing and delivering Disaster Recovery functions and tests.

The Managed Services Cross Technology Engineer (L2) is a developing engineering role, responsible for providing a managed service to clients to ensure that their IT infrastructure and systems remain operational.Through the proactive monitoring, identifying, investigating, and resolving of technical incidents and problems, the Managed Services Cross Technology Engineer (L2) is able to restore service to clients.
The primary objective of this role is to proactively review client requests or tickets and apply technical/process knowledge to resolve them without breaching service level agreement (SLA).

What you'll be doing
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively monitors the work queues.
- Performs operational tasks to resolve all incidents/requests in a timely manner and within the agreed SLA.
- Updates tickets with resolution tasks performed.
- Identifies, investigates, analyses issues and errors prior to or when they occur, and logs all such incidents in a timely manner.
- Captures all required and relevant information for immediate resolution.

Under the direction of the Security Supervisor, the Security Officer Level 1 will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, security, and compliance of the NTT Data Center physical infrastructure, equipment, and personnel. The Security Officer Level 1 (L1) will work closely with the Data Center Operations Team (DCOPS) to ensure that security measures are in place and functioning properly. The Security Officer L1, an entry level position and is responsible for the administrative and operational duties associated with a site security team.This position is client-facing, clear and concise communication is required. Security Officer L1 is responsible for protection of personnel and company property, manages access control, monitors CCTV systems, responding to incidents, and completing written reports. NTT Global Data Centers Americas, Inc. offers competitive compensation based on experience, education, and location. Hourly base salary for this position is $ 18.90 - $ 23.60 and is eligible for overtime pay in accordance to local state and federal ‘Wage and Hour’ requirements.
