TOKYO – March 1, 2022 – NTT DATA, a global digital business and IT services leader, today announces that it has become the first Japanese company to be recognized as a CDP Gold Accredited Solutions Provider. CDP is an international non-governmental organization that runs the platform for environment-related disclosure. NTT DATA has been utilizing digital technologies to support the decarbonization efforts of customers in a wide range of industries, and going forward, through cooperation with CDP, will further advance green innovation for the decarbonization of global society.
Background
NTT DATA pursues green innovating utilizing digital technologies, and has set targets of a 60% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 from FY 2016 levels (1.5°C science-based target), and carbon neutrality by 2040. In January 2022, NTT DATA began providing a "green consulting service," supporting customers and society with strategy formulation, establishment of mechanisms, and other services to achieve carbon neutrality.
In recognition of these efforts, on March 1, 2022, NTT DATA was named a CDP Gold Accredited Solutions Provider by CDP, a respected international NGO in the field of climate change. CDP partners categorized as gold are able to offer global support, whereas silver partners are accredited in Japan or other specific countries. NTT DATA is the first Japanese company to be recognized as a gold partner.
In addition, NTT DATA has been certified in the CDP partner categories of "climate change consultancy" and "software."

Future Goals
NTT DATA, as a CDP Gold Accredited Solutions Provider in the categories of Climate Change Consultancy and Software, will utilize its technology and experience to support carbon neutrality throughout the world.
