Accession to the United Nations Global Compact

We announce that Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation (NTT) and NTT DATA Corporation (NTT DATA) have signed a declaration of support for the "United Nations Global Compact (hereinafter UNGC)" advocated by the United Nations, NTT and NTT DATA were registered as participants on June 23, 2022 and July 6, 2022, respectively.
The United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) is the world's largest sustainability initiative, in which the United Nations and the private sector (corporations and organizations) work together to build a healthy global society. Companies and organizations that sign the UNGC are required to support the 10 principles * related to the protection of human rights, elimination of unfair labor practices, environmental measures, and prevention of corruption, and to make continuous efforts to realize these principles.
Based on the NTT Group Sustainability Charter formulated in November 2021, the NTT Group is promoting sustainability initiatives on a global level. Going forward, we will strive to realize a sustainable society by complying with the 10 Principles advocated by the UNGC and further promoting measures to promote sustainability.
