NTT DATA wins Prestigious SustainableIT Impact Awards 2024 for Leadership in Sustainable Governance

In June 2023, NTT DATA announced the "NTT DATA NET-ZERO Vision 2040" as a goal to achieve Net-Zero in response to the increasingly serious problem of climate change. In March 2024, NTT DATA received certification from SBTi for its Net-Zero goal.

While IT can significantly contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, it must also address its own environmental impact. including the indirect emissions caused by higher power consumption, and emissions from the entire lifecycle of IT systems, from manufacturing to decommission. NTT DATA has undertaken various efforts to reduce the environmental impact of IT, not only for itself but also for its customers and society at large.
As a member of the Green Software Foundation, NTT DATA actively participate in shaping the latest trends and regulations related to sustainable IT. Our efforts include continued investment in research and development to meet our Net-Zero goals through applied innovation. In acknowledgement of these initiatives, we are honored to receive the SustainableIT Impact Awards 2024 in the Governance category.

The SustainableIT Impact Awards and Symposium will be held at Fairmont Austin in the US on October 15-16. 2024. This first-of-its-kind event brings together technology and sustainability leaders from around the globe. At the event, NTT DATA will join other industry pioneers to discuss the future of sustainable IT and share innovative strategies to balance business success with environmental responsibility.
